- Established API access with Conversica
- Conversica API User has the correct user permissions
- Assistant Settings complete: name, title, email, working hours
- Email setup complete
- At least one Salesforce Campaign setup and synced to Conversica as is active
- At least one Sales Rep added to the Conversica Dashboard
- The Default Sales Rep is in place
Once you have created your Campaign and synced it to a Conversation we are now ready to utilize the Test Lead Token and test the Messaging between you and the AI Assistant.
By now, you should have received a Test Lead Token specific to your account. If you have not, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Technical Account Manager. We use this token for testing purposes before the account is active so real leads aren't used. The Test Lead Token should be a string of 10 characters and may look something like this ksggyykpgl. By default this token will be good for 10 test leads but can be increased if additional testing if requested. The first step in using the token is to create a new lead/contact specific for testing.
Where does the Test Lead Token go?
The Test Lead Token will replace the Last Name of the test lead. You can also use your org email or any active email you wish for the Test Lead.

How to add the Test Lead to your Campaign
Step 1 Create the Test Lead by clicking on the "Leads" tab in your Salesforce environment then click "New"
Next, enter the First Name, Last Name (Test Lead Token), and Email Address and save
Step 2 Activate the contact list you want to launch in the Conversation Editor (By this point, the Salesforce Campaign should have been mapped to the Conversation in the form of a Contact List - See Creating and Mapping Salesforce Campaigns to Conversations for more details)
Step 3 Add newly created Test Lead to your Salesforce Campaign by clicking the "Campaign" Tab and selecting the newly created Campaign
Once you are in the Campaign, click on "Add Leads"
Here, you will want to find and add the newly created Test Lead then submit. You can utilize the search bar if needed.
If the Contact List in the Conversica Conversation Editor is ACTIVE, your Test Lead will now begin to get messaged (Can take up to 10-15 min before seeing messages in your E-Mail inbox. You may have to check your spam folder)
