The Lead Quality report will help you to understand the overall health and deliverability of the leads that you submit to Conversica. This report introduces a few new concepts and important metrics to help you evaluate the quality of your leads and ensure you are getting the most out of your lead sources.
Lead Quality Categories
Every submitted lead will be categorized into a Lead Quality category of Preparing, Discarded, Unhealthy, or Healthy. These categories also indicate whether Conversica attempted to message the lead.
Lead Quality Category | Definition | Did Conversica Attempt to Message the Lead? |
Healthy | Healthy Leads have been sent a message and have not bounced back, unsubscribed, or reported a spam complaint. This category includes leads in the Conversation Stage of Messaging, Sent as Assistant, Client Stopped, or Conversica Stopped, or the Conversation Status of Lead Requested Stop. | Attempted |
Unhealthy | Unhealthy Leads have been sent a message and bounced back, unsubscribed, or reported a spam complaint; or were filtered out by Conversica’s email verification system. This category includes leads in the Conversation Status Unsubscribed, Marked as Spam, Do Not Email, SMS Opt-Out, Invalid Email, or Email Bounced. | Attempted |
Preparing | Leads in the Preparing category have been received by Conversica but their first scheduled message has not yet been sent. This category includes leads in the Conversation Status of Preparing Lead or First Message Scheduled. | Unattempted |
Discarded | Leads in the Discarded category have been discarded because they are duplicate leads, have been specifically excluded, or are missing an email address or rep assignment. This category includes leads in the Conversation Status of No Rep Assignment, Malformed Email, Duplicate (Internal, CRM, or External), or Excluded (Lead Source, Rep, Lead Status, or Rule). | Unattempted |
Key Lead Quality Rates
Key Lead Quality rates are calculated as a percentage of Attempted leads. Attempted leads are the number of leads which Conversica attempted to work. This includes leads in the Healthy and Unhealthy lead quality categories. Conversica has found that customers with the best deliverability and engagement keep their lead quality rates below the following thresholds:
- Total Unhealthy < 10%
- Invalid Email < 5%
- Email Bounced < 5%
- Unsubscribed < 3%
- Marked as Spam < 0.15%
- Do Not Email < 0.5%
If your Lead Quality exceeds any of the above thresholds, email providers such as Gmail will be more likely to deliver your messages to Spam or Junk folders, rather than to Inbox folders. As a result, you will start to see your engagement rates decline over time. In order for your AI-powered assistant to drive the best possible engagement, be sure to only provide high-quality leads to Conversica.
Best Practice
As a best practice, review the Lead Quality report regularly to ensure you are aiming for the lead quality rates below the Key Lead Quality Rates thresholds. If any of your Lead Quality rates exceed these thresholds, Conversica recommends reevaluating your lead sources to ensure you are getting the highest quality leads possible.
