If your Salesforce organization has a version of the Conversica app installed that is older than 2.34, users will encounter an Insufficient Permissions error when attempting to select the Conversica app from the App launcher. However, if Conversica is selected from "All Items" instead of apps, the dashboard will load successfully.
The Conversica app, beginning with version 2.34, is pre-configured with the correct Start URL and Mobile Start URL, ensuring performance for new installations. However, if your organization is using an older version of our app, you will need to manually adjust these settings to align with system requirements.
For New Installs and Updates (Version 2.34 and Newer):
- The app automatically configures the correct Start URL and Mobile Start URL.
- No manual changes are required.
For Existing Installs without Updates (Older Versions):
- The Start URL and Mobile Start URL settings must be manually updated
- Both fields should be set to:

For existing Conversica Managed Package installations (older than version 2.34) the following steps need to be completed by a Salesforce admin user to resolve the Insufficient Permissions error when trying to access the Conversica app.
- Navigate to the Conversica Connected App by selecting ‘Setup’ from the top right menu.
- On the left sidebar navigate to “Manage Apps” under the “Administration Setup” header and select “Connected Apps”
- Click “Edit” on the Conversica App.
- Update the Start URL and Mobile Start URL in the Conversica Application Settings and hit save.
