When a customer either (1) cancels their Conversica subscription and their dashboard is terminated as part of our offboarding process, or (2) undergoes an integration change from one vendor to another we need to take an extra step to cancel/terminate the integration feed with the vendor on our end.
The process differs per automotive CRM and DMS vendor, so this article will walk you through how to submit an integration cancellation per vendor.
Submitting an Integration Cancellation for an Automotive CRM
DealerSocket
- Navigate to the Vendor Page https://sway.cloud.microsoft/7TXiMZPpBpQKqfrq?ref=Link
- Note: No login needed
- Click the “Cancellations” option from the 4 available options on the vendor page
- Proceed with completing each required field in the cancellation form.
- If the dealer is part of a group then select yes. If not, select no in the cancellation request form (screenshot below). One way you can verify if a dealer is part of a group is by looking at the parent account field in Salesforce. If this does not clarify, you can search the CST to see if there are other dealers with the same name (i.e. ‘Sewell’ before the location name indicates a group)
- Locate the pertinent information you need by navigating to the account record in Salesforce, and the Integration Manager in the CST (for the CRM ID).
- If the dealer is part of a group then select yes. If not, select no in the cancellation request form (screenshot below). - Submit cancellation request form
Vinsolutions
The Vinsolutions integration is a 2 part process. Part 1 involves us running a process in the Manual Process Manager which will send an API call to Vinsolutions to cancel the feed. Part 2 involves us submitting a cancellation request through the Vendor Development portal using shared credentials.
Part 1: Running Manual Process
- Navigate to the Manual Process Manager: CST > Modules > Operations > Manual Processes > Remove from Vin Event Stream
- Edit Parameters
- Edit Raw Text
- Add/Update the Dealer IDs that correspond with the dealers you are terminating integration feeds for
- Note: The dealer ID can be found in the Integration Manager for the corresponding account.
- Save Parameters
- Run Process
- Confirm Success
Part 2: Submitting Cancellation via Vinsolutions Vendor Portal
- Navigate to the Vendor Development Portal and login with the shared credentials from the Auto TAM Directory sheet: https://developer.coxautoinc.com/support
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the blue ‘Need More Help?’ button.
- Complete the form
- Subject: Connect Event Cancellation Request
-
Choose: 'I'm having trouble with an eventing product I'm already subscribed to'
- Dropdown: ‘Connect Event Solution - 1.0’
- Description: Please cancel eventing for <insert VinSolutions DealerId>
- Note: The dealer ID can be found in the Integration Manager for the corresponding account.

Elead
-
Send email to elead.mdssupport@cdk.com
- Include dealer code (CRM ID) and name of the dealership, along with “request to cancel integration feed.”
Reynolds & Reynolds
For Reynolds & Reynolds CRM integrations, no action is required on our end. Finance terminates these integrations with the vendor and we do not need to notify them.
Submitting an Integration Cancellation for an Automotive DMS
When submitting an integration cancellation for a DMS extra caution needs to be taken to ensure we don't terminate a DMS feed that is being used for an active sales account. Therefore, before proceeding, you will want to check in the CST if the parent sales account has an Effective Status of 'Active.' If so, please do not proceed. If not, you can proceed with the cancellation process outlined below.
CDK
- Go to https://developer.cdkcare.com/ and login using your individual credentials
- Select Fortellis Support or MBD Support
- Select Conversica, Inc. as the Organization
- Select Conversica CDK Drive Integration
- Fill out the required fields to create a case.
- When you open an uninstall case you should include the dealership name, and the 3PA ID which will identify the single dealer to uninstall.
Sample Case:

- After completing the termination, make sure to clean up the DMS provider from the CST by going to the DMS Provider tab.
DealerVault
- Navigate to the DealerVault vendor portal https://vendor.dealervault.com/Vendor/ and login using your individual credentials
- Click Feeds > Complete Feeds
- Locate the dealer feeds we need to terminate. There will be 2 total feeds we need to deactivate (Sales & Service).
- Once both feeds have been deactivated for each applicable dealer, we are good to go.
Reynolds & Reynolds
For Reynolds & Reynolds direct DMS integrations (meaning not through DealerVault and DMS providers tab specifically references Reynolds), no action is required on our end. Finance terminates these integrations with the vendor and we do not need to notify them.
